It's formulated to be non-comedogenic† and it's a gel-cream rather than a heavy balm, specifically because oily and acne-prone skin in humid climates needs barrier support too. As with any new product, patch-test on the jawline for two days first.
It does the job of one and more. A moisturiser adds water. CutiShield supplies the lipids that hold water in, which is why it's called a barrier cream. You don't need a separate moisturiser on top.
Yes — that's largely who it's for. Apply your active first, let it absorb, then CutiShield. If your skin is currently stinging or flaking, pause the actives and use CutiShield alone for two weeks first.
It's formulated to layer under CutiBlock-IR. Give it about a minute to set before the sunscreen and use two pumps rather than four — pilling is almost always an over-application problem.
The formula contains no retinoids so its generally safe. As always, run any routine past your own doctor during pregnancy.
